Niigata's airline Toki Air launches scheduled non-stop flight from Niigata to Nagoya airport Chubu Centrair on 27 September 2024.
On 27 September 2024, Toki Air flight BV401 departs from Niigata for Chubu at 9.21 am (scheduled time 9.10 am) and touches down in Chubu at 10.30 am according to schedule. It was welcome by the traditional water canon salute along the way to the domestic gate. Later at 11.29 am, flight BV402 leaves Chubu for Niigata, 19 minutes late, and arrives in Niigata at 12.26 am (scheduled time 12.25 am).
The second return flight to Chubu from Niigata follows with flight BV403 taking off from Niigata for Chubu Centrair Terminal 1 at 1.07 pm (scheduled time 1.10 pm) and arriving in Chubu at 2.16 pm before flight BV404 departs from Chubu for Niigata at 3.20 pm (scheduled time 3.10 pm) and lands in Chubu at 4.22 pm (scheduled time 4.25 pm).
Toki Air runs twice-daily flights to Chubu from 27 September to 30 September 2024 before starting again the flights to the Nagoya airport from 4 October 2024.
Toki Air flies to Chubu on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays with its ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft. It also operates flights to Sendai and Sapporo Okadama Airport from Niigata. The airline has plans to commence flights to Narita, Kobe and Sado from 2025.
Founded on 29 July 2020, Toki Air commences flight operations on 31 January 2024 as a low-cost regional airline of Niigata.
