Chongqing Airlines resumes scheduled non-stop flight from Chongqing Jiangbei to Changi on 23 February 2023 with its A320neo aircraft.

According to Chongqing Airlines' web-site, flight OQ2095 departs from Chongqing Jiangbei for Changi at 8.30 am, touches down in Changi at 1.15 pm before leaving Changi for Chongqing at 2.31 pm and touching down in Chongqing at 7.35 pm local time under flight OQ2096. The corresponding flight code for OQ2096 is China Southern CZ546 while that of OQ2095 is CZ545.

Tickets are on sale at Chongqing Airlines' web-site www.chongqingairlines.cn.

Chongqing Airlines flies between Chongqing and Singapore on Thursdays and Sundays. Its inaugural scheduled flight to Changi is on 28 June 2019.

Shenzhen Airlines launches A330-300 flight to Changi on 11 February 2023

During its tenth year of office presence in Singapore, Shenzhen Airlines launches Airbus A330-300 flight from Shenzhen to Changi on 11 February 2023. Below are the inflight pictures.

On 11 February 2023, Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH9023 departed from Shenzhen for Changi at 12.59 pm (scheduled time 12.50 pm), touched down in Changi at 4.27 pm (scheduled time 4.50 pm) before leaving Changi for Shenzhen at 6.46 pm (scheduled time 6.20 pm) under flight ZH9024.

Shenzhen Airlines first initiates direct flight to Changi from Shenzhen on 28 October 2012 before introducing onward flight to Jinan from Changi on 27 October 2013. On 23 September 2016, it starts operating flight to Guangzhou and on 1 January 2019, it launches non-stop flight to Nanchang from Changi. These flights were suspended in February 2020 during the pandemic until Shenzhen Airlines resumes operations from Shenzhen to Changi in November 2022 intially with B737-800 aircraft.

On 21 February 2023, it introduces A320 Tuesday flight to Changi while the Saturday flights are operated by A330-300 aircraft.

Shenzhen Airlines has 6 Airbus A330-300 jets, of which one is first put on service to London Heathrow, as well as 76 A320-200 jets, 27 A320neo jets, 1 A321neo aircraft, 76 B737-800 jets, 2 B737-900 aircraft. It will replace its older B737-800 and A320 jets with 5 existing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with an extra order for 25 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

China Southern flies twice weekly between Guangzhou and Changi

Since 3 February 2023, China Southern has added Friday flight on its route from Guangzhou to Singapore Changi Airport. The flight is operated by its A321neo aircraft. The Tuesday flight remains unchanged but the airline has reverted to 787-9 instead of A350-900 aircraft since 7 February 2023.

The schedules of the Friday return flight of China Southern on the Guangzhou=Singapore=Guangzhou routes, operated by A321neo, are as follows:-

Flight CZ3039 departs from Guangzhou for Changi at 11.45 am, touches down in Changi at 3.50 pm before leaving Changi for Guangzhou at 5.25 pm and landing in Guangzhou at 9.35 pm under flight CZ3040.

On 10 February 2022, CZ3039 departed from Guangzhou for Changi at 12.08 pm and landed in Changi at 3.41 pm, 9 minutes ahead of scheduled time. Then CZ3040 took off from Changi for Guangzhou at 5.55 pm (30 minutes late) and touched down in Guangzhou at 9.37 pm (2 minutes late).

The schedules of the Tuesday return flight of China Southern, operated by 787-9 Dreamliner, are as follows:-

Flight CZ3039 departs from Guangzhou for Changi at 12.05 pm, touches down in Changi at 4.15 pm before leaving Changi for Guangzhou at 5.50 pm and landing in Guangzhou at 9.55 pm under flight CZ3040.

With the additional frequency, China Southern has four return flights from the People's Republic of China to Singapore on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays and the other destinations include Shenzhen and Zhengzhou.

Spring Airlines resumes flight to Changi on 17 February 2023

From 17 February 2023, Spring Airlines resumes the Pudong-Changi route to meet the travel needs of citizens. 

Spring Airlines flies to Changi from Pudong three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The outbound flight number is 9C8549, the flight time is 15:35-21:40; the return flight number is 9C8550, the flight time is 22:40-03: 50 (+1).

At present, Spring Airlines has resumed 26 international and regional routes, including 10 international and regional routes departing from Pudong, which can fly to Thailand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Since the Lunar New Year, with the recovery of international and regional routes, the demand for "outbound travel" has emerged. The passenger load factor of Spring Airlines' international and regional flights has reached an average of over 90%, and many flights have reached 100%. Prepare passports and visas and other documents required for entering the destination country in advance, and ensure that the documents are within the validity period.

GX Airlines resumes scheduled flight to Changi on 7 March 2023

The airline of Guangxi, GX Airlines, short for Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines, has finalized its flight schedule to Singapore and it has started selling on-line tickets through its web-site www.gxairlines.com, various on-line ticketing platforms and authorized sales agents.

According to the web-site, GX Airlines flight GX8967 resumes scheduled A320 flight from Nanning to Changi on 7 March 2023. 

Departing every Tuesday during the winter season from 7 March 2023 onwards, flight GX8967 leaves Nanning for Changi at 9.10 am, touches down in Changi T4 at 1 pm before departing from Changi T4 to Nanning at 2.30 pm and landing in Nanning at 6.15 pm under flight GX8968.

On 3 March 2023, the reporter contacted GX Airlines to reconfirm the flights. The airline customer service officer in Nanning said the return winter flights to Changi will last until 21 March 2023. From 3 April 2023, the airline reverts to evening flights on the Nanning-Changi route.

Lately, GX Airlines has resumed scheduled flight to Suvarnabhumi on 6 February 2023 with flight GX8907 departing for Suvarnabhumi on Mondays at 7.30 pm, arriving in Suvarnabhumi at 8.45 pm before leaving Suvarnabhumi for Nanning at 9.45 pm and landing in Nanning on Tuesdays at 12.50 am under flight GX8908. Since 7 March 2023, the airline has flown daily to  Suvarnabhumi.

Starlux Airlines launches long-haul flight to Los Angeles on 26 April 2023

Starlux Airlines launches ceremonial flight from Taoyuan to Los Angeles on 26 April 2023 with its A350-900 aircraft.

The first flight of JX002 leaves Taoyuan for Los Angeles at 2.10 pm of 26 April 2023 and touches down in Los Angeles at 11 am local time.

Between 27 April and 31 May 2023 flight JX002 takes off from Taoyuan for Los Angeles at 11.40 pm, lands in Los Angeles at 8.30 pm local time on Tuesdays and Sundays before flight JX001 leaves Los Angeles for Taoyuan on Wednesdays and Mondays at 12.50 am and arriving in Taoyuan at 5.40 am.

Starlux Airlines flies daily to Los Angeles from 4 June 2023.

  

Vietnam Airlines' A350-900 launches VIP flight to Changi on 8 February 2023

On 8 February 2023, Vietnam Airlines' A350-900 (A350XWB) launches VIP flight to Changi from Hanoi. On that day, flight VN1 departs from Hanoi for Changi at 12.39 pm and touches down in Changi at 4.39 pm. Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation are onboard the flight. This is the first time an A350XWB of Vietnam Airlines has landed in Changi.

According to FlightRadar24, the A350-900 is due to depart for the outbound flight to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, at 3.05 pm on 10 February 2023 and is expected to arrive in Brunei at 5 pm on 10 February, Again, it marks the first time Vietnam Airlines is operating charter flight to Brunei.

On 10 February, according to FlightAware, VN1 departed from Changi Air Base instead at 3.31 pm and arrived in Brunei at 5.21 pm. It is estimated to take off for Hanoi at 4.30 pm and arrive in Hanoi at 6.25 pm on 11 February 2023.

Vietnam Airlines' A350 aircraft is often seen on routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Pudong, Incheon, Kansai, Narita and Europe and in the past week to Vientiane.

VN1 is the flight code of Vietnam Airlines' VIP flight. In 2022, VN1 flew to Changi with a 787-9 Dreamliner.

XiamenAir receives its second A321neo on 7 February 2023

In the morning of February 7, XiamenAir receives its second Airbus A321neo aircraft this year at Xiamen Gaoqi Airport. With the arrival of the new aircraft B-32CY, it has a fleet of 210 aircraft (including 31 aircraft of Hebei Airlines and 15 aircraft of Jiangxi Air). 

XiamenAir signed a purchase contract for A320 series aircraft with Airbus in September 2022, gradually promoting the structural adjustment and optimization of the fleet. The first Airbus A321neo joining XiamenAir on 1 January 2023 will have its maiden commercial flight this Saturday (11 February 2023).

Shenzhen Airlines adds Tuesday flight to Changi from 21 February 2023

Shenzhen Airlines adds Tuesday scheduled flight to Changi from Shenzhen from 21 February 2023 with its A320 aircraft.

On 21 February 2023, Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH9023 departs from Shenzhen for Changi at 10.15 am, touches down in Changi at 2.25 pm before leaving Changi for Shenzhen at 3.55 pm and arriving in Shenzhen at 8.20 pm under flight ZH9024.

With the addition of Tuesday flights, Shenzhen Airlines operates twice-weekly scheduled flights including on Saturdays to Changi.
