Shown above is Vietnam Airlines A321 flight VN651 in the old livery approaching Changi Airport on 12 January 2022, the first resumption passenger-only flight from Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Vietnam Airlines, the airline is only operating one Dreamliner 787 service on the route on 19 January 2022. So, there are two Dreamliner flights to Singapore on 19 January and from Hanoi on 21 January 2022. 

The first Vietnam Airlines Dreamliner 787 flight to Singapore is operated from Hanoi on 14 January 2022.

T'way Air to fly to Singapore later in 2022

T'way Air plans to receive its first Airbus A330-300 aircraft in February 2022, which will initially operate domestic flights from Seoul to Jeju, Busan before introducing mid- to long-distance flights to Singapore, Sydney, Jakarta, Denpasar, Zagreb, Bishkek.

Therefore, T'way Air plans to start scheduled flights to Singapore from Incheon later in 2022. No schedule details are available at the mean time.

T'way Air has begun reviewing the introduction of additional long-distance aircraft and opening new routes from Seoul-Gimpo with its existing B737-800 aircraft such as the Seoul-Ulaanbaatar route.

Korean Air resumes scheduled flight to Vladivostok on 25 January 2022

Korean Air has announced that from 25 January 2022, it is resuming direct scheduled flight from Incheon to Vladivostok with its B737 aircraft.

On 25 January 2022, Korean Air flight KE981 departs from Incheon for Vladivostok at 9.35 am, arrives in Vladivostok at 1.15 pm before leaving Vladivostok for Incheon at 2.35 pm local time and landing in Incheon at 4.55 pm under flight KE982.

Korean Air flies to Vladivostok on Tuesdays.

Vietnam Airlines only operates two Dreamliner 787 flights to Singapore on Fridays

Searches on Vietnam Airlines' web-site show that Vietnam Airlines' Dreamliner 787 is only operating two return flights to Singapore from Hanoi on 14 and 21 January 2022. After 21 January 2022, Airbus A321 will operate on the route on Fridays.

According to schedules,  Vietnam Airlines flight VN661 leaves Hanoi for Singapore at 7.20 am, arrives in Singapore at 11.40 am before taking off from Singapore for Hanoi at 12.50 pm and landing in Hanoi at 3.10 pm under flight VN660.

Vietnam Airlines has a fleet of 11 Dreamliner 787-9 and 4 Dreamliner 787-10 jets besides 14 A350XWB, 20 A321neo, 50 A321-200, 2 A320neo and 2 ATR 72-500 aircraft.

Image : On 9 January 2022, Vietnam Airlines operates its last cargo-only flight to Singapore from Ho Chi Minh City with flight VN5655 arriving in Singapore Changi at 4.38 pm (scheduled time 4.55 pm). The above pictures show the dramatic impact of the flight towards Changi Airport. Vietnam Airlines resumes scheduled passenger/cargo flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore on 12 January 2022.
