Aero K launches debut international flight to Kansai on 6 July 2023

South Korea's emerging LCC "Aero K" launches a new double-daily service on the Cheongju-Osaka Kansai route from 6 July 2023 (Thursday). The aircraft used is an Airbus A320 with 180 seats in Economy Class.

The Cheongju-Kansai route is the second route for Aero K, and the first international route for the airline. However, since it only has the aircraft number HL8384, it is expected that it will acquire a second aircraft before the start of service to Kansai on 6 July 2023.

Cheongju is located about 130km southeast of Seoul. There are only a few international flights, such as the Kansai route and Da Nang route operated daily by T'way Air, and the Suvarnabhumi route operated by Jeju Air. With the launch of Aero-K flight on the Kansai-Cheongju route, the two airlines will operate three flights a day.

Vietnam Airlines increases flights to China

Vietnam Airlines will add more seats on its domestic and international route network to meet the demand for summer tourism when the traditional summer tourist season is approaching. 

As one of Vietnam Airlines' most important overseas markets, China has recovered rapidly after being affected by the epidemic. Since 8 January 2023, the "resumption of international passenger flights" has begun and since 15 March 2023 Vietnam has entered the list of the second batch of outbound group tours piloted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 

There are nearly 20 round-trip regular flights from Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City every week; there are also flights on regulat tourist routes from Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Changzhou, Nanning, Hohhot, Nanjing, Wuxi, Harbin, Shenyang, Tianjin , Shijiazhuang, Kunming, 15 cities to Nha Trang, Phu Quoc.

Air Canada launches non-stop flight from Vancouver to Changi on 3 April 2024

Air Canada has announced that it is launching its direct scheduled passenger flight from Vancouver to Changi on 3 April 2024 and the new service is operated four times a week.

According to schedules, on 3 April 2024, Air Canada flight AC019 departs from Vancouver for Changi at 12.15 am,  touches down in Changi at 7.10 am on 4 April 2024 before leaving Changi for Vancouver at 9.10 am and arriving in Vancouver at 8.45 am local time.

Air Canada flies to Changi with its 787-9 Dreamliner on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. It leaves Changi for Vancouver on Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays.

The airline comments about the early flight schedule from Vancouver, "The schedule has been built to conveniently connect to and from destinations across North America via Air Canada's hub at YVR and, in Singapore to and from destinations across Southeast Asia, South India & Western Australia with Star Alliance and codeshare partner Singapore Airlines."

Economy air fare one-way from Vancouver starts from $1225.

Previously, Air Canada's 787-9 Dreamliners have been operating technical flights to Changi for maintenance and way back between April 1986 and January 1991, its former B747 Combi and L1011 jets flew to Changi from Toronto via London Heathrow and Mumbai.

JC International Airlines closes down operations in February 2023

JC International Airlines, also known as Cambodia JC International Airlines and JC Airlines, has closed down operations in Fenruary 2023 as it went bankrupt during the pandemic. Its last foreign destination is Kunming.

JC Airlines briefly operated scheduled flights to Changi T4 in late 2017 and had an extenstive route network from Phnom Penh to mainland China including Chongqing, Kunming, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Huai'an.

The active Cambodian airlines that are flying to China include Cambodia Airways and Cambodia Angkor Air.

Jeju Air launches flight to Hiroshima on 13 July 2023

On 13 July 2023, Jeju Air launches its inaugural scheduled flight from Incheon to Hiroshima with its Boeing B737-800 aircraft.

On this day, Jeju Air flight 7C1572,.departs from Inchoen for Hiroshima at 8.05 am, touches down in Hiroshima ar 9.30 am before leaving Hiroshima for Incheon at 9.30 am leaving Hiroshima for Incheon at 11 am and touching down in Incheon at 12.50 pm under flight 7C1571.

Citilink flies to Kualanamu from KLIA on 16 June 2023

On 16 June 2023, Citilink launches its inaugural scheduled flight from KLIA to Kualanamu with its Airbus A320 aircraft.

On this day, Citilink flight QG537 departs from KLIA for Kualanamu at 3.45 pm, touches down in Kualanamu at 4 pm local time before leaving Kualanamu for KLIA at 5 pm and touching down in KLIA at 7.10 pm under flight QG536.

Citilink flies between KLIA and Indonesia daily.
