Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines launches charter flight to Hanoi on 30 September 2022

According to Paro Airport, Drukair Royal Bhutan Airlines has operated its first scheduled charter flight from Paro to Hanoi on 30 September 2022 with its Airbus A320neo aircraft.

According to schedules, Drukair flight KB600 departs from Paro for Hanoi on 30 September 2022 at 8 am, touches down in Hanoi at 12.25 pm before leaving Hanoi for Paro on 1 October 2022 at 6 am and arriving in Paro at 8.20 am under flight KB601.

On the actual days of 30 September and 1 October 2022, flight KB600 leaves Paro for Hanoi at 7.53 am, arrives in Hanoi at 12.25 pm on 30 September 2022 before taking off from Hanoi for Paro at 6.32 am and is expected to land in Paro at 8 am under flight KB601.

Drukair has not stated whether future flights to Hanoi will be regular. However, it states on its Facebook that there are charter flights to Dubai from Paro on 11 and 18 October 2022 with flight KB801 departing for Dubai from Paro at 9.30 am and landing in Dubai at 4 pm.

Air Premia launches flight to Los Angeles on 29 October 2022, adjustments to Singapore flight

Air Premia, South Korea's newest private airline, launches non-stop direct flight from Incheon to Los Angeles on 29 October 2022.

According to flight schedules, on 29 October 2022, Air Premia flight YP101 departs from Incheon for Los Angeles at 1.20 pm and touches down in Los Angeles at 8.20 am local time. The outbound flight, YP102, leaves Los Angeles for Incheon at 10.50 am on 29 October 2022 and arrives in Incheon at 4.20 pm on 30 October 2022 local time.

Air Premia flies from Incheon to Los Angeles on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and  leaves Los Angeles for Incheon, arriving at the South Korean airport on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The airline also flies to Ho Chi Minh City with effect from 6 October 2022 and to Changi until 28 October 2022.

Air Premia's new Incheon=Los Angeles flights are operated by its Dreamliner 787-9 registered HL8387, the same jet that operates currently on the Incheon=Changi flight sectors.

Air Premia no longer operates freighter flights to Changi and from 30 October 2022 its Incheon-Changi flight schedules on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays have lately been adjusted with flight YP631 departing from Incheon at 7.45 pm, touching down in Changi at 1.10 am on 31 October 2022 before leaving Changi for Incheon at 2.40 am and arriving in Incheon at 9.20 am under flight YP632. 

The airline confirms it is still competing with the low-cost airlines that operate flights from Changi to Incheon, Scoot and T'way Air.

Air Premia is an airline that offers Dreamliner flights at competitive low-cost rates on the likes of T'way Air and Air Seoul. Customers can book online or book with Changi Recommends.

T'way Air lands in Changi at similar timings as Air Premia daily although according to schedules its A330 arrives in Changi at 2 am. The Singapore regional office of the airline has recently opened its Instagram page at twayair_singapore.


Citilink launches daily flight to Singapore from 1 October 2022

Citilink's Airbus A320 launches daily scheduled flight from Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Cengkareng) to Singapore Changi from 1 October 2022.

On 1 October 2022, Citilink flight QG522 departs from Cengkareng for Changi at 6 am, touches down in Changi at 8.40 am before leaving Changi for Cengkareng at 9.40 am and arriving in Cengkareng at 10.35 am under flight QG523.

The Jakarta-Singapore flight is Citilink's first international route after Indonesia reopens her borders to the world during the pandemic.

Juneyao Air launches direct scheduled flight from Zhengzhou to Hong Kong with its Airbus A321 aircraft on 30 September 2022.

On 30 September 2022, Juneyao Air flight HO1299 departs from Zhengzhou for Hong Kong at 11.45 am, touches down in Hong Kong at 2.10 pm before leaving Hong Kong for Zhengzhou at 3.20 pm and arriving in Zhengzhou at 5.55 pm under flight HO1300.

Starlux Airlines' first A350 completes maiden flight in Toulouse

Starlux Airlines' first A350 recently completed its maiden flight in Toulouse. It ordered a total of 18 A350-900s from Airbus. The new aircraft will join Starlux's current fleet of A321neo and A330neo jets to expand the airline's flight network to include long-haul destinations in the U.S.

MAI launches twice-weekly scheduled flight to Phuket on 30 September 2022

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) launches non-stop scheduled flight to Phuket from Yangon on 30 September 2022 with its Embraer E190LR. Phuket becomes the second Thai destination of MAI after Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.

On 30 September 2022, MAI flight 8M354 departs from Yangon for Phuket at 7.10 am, touches down in Phuket at 9.25 am before leaving Phuket for Yangon at 10.25 am and arriving in Yangon at 12 pm under flight 8M355.

Scheduled flight duration is 1 hour 45 minutes (Yangon-Phuket) to 2 hours 5 minutes (Phuket-Yangon).

MAI flies to Phuket from Yangon on Fridays and Sundays.

Previously, the Embraer E190LR of MAI launched charter flights to Singapore and Sihanouk on 31 October 2021 and 26 January 2022, and scheduled flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on 19 and 22 September 2022 successively.

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) launches non-stop scheduled flight to Ho Chi Minh City from Yangon on 22 September 2022 with its Embraer E190LR. 

On 22 September 2022, MAI flight 8M452 departs from Yangon for Ho Chi Minh City at 10 am am, touches down in Ho Chi Minh City at 1 pm before leaving Ho Chi Minh City for Yangon at 2 pm and arriving in Yangon at 3.50 pm under flight 8M453.

Scheduled flight duration is around 2 hours 30 minutes one way.

MAI flies to Ho Chi Minh City from Yangon on Thursdays. As of 26 September, the airline flies to two cities in Vietnam including Hanoi.

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) launches non-stop scheduled flight to Hanoi from Yangon on 19 September 2022 with its Embraer E190LR. Yangon becomes the first new Southeast Asian destination of Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport in 2022 while Hanoi is the first scheduled international destination on its Embraer route network.

Previously, the Embraer E190LR of MAI launches charter flights to Singapore and Sihanouk on 31 October 2021 and 26 January 2022.

On 19 September 2022, MAI flight 8M450 departs from Yangon for Hanoi at 1.50 pm, touches down in Hanoi at 4.20 pm before leaving Hanoi for Yangon at 5.20 pm and arriving in Yangon at 6.55 pm under flight 8M451.

Scheduled flight duration is around 2 hours 5 minutes one way.

MAI flies to Hanoi from Yangon on Mondays and Fridays.

Air New Zealand's Dreamliner 787-9 launches direct scheduled flight from Auckland to Chicago, the airline's seventh destination in North America, on 30 October 2022.

According to Air New Zealand's web-site, the first inbound flight from Auckland leaves for Chicago on 30 October 2022 at 8.15 pm and touches down in Chicago at 5 pm local time.

Air New Zealand has launched Dreamliner 787-9 flight from Auckland to New York JFK on 18 September 2022.

On 18 September 2022, Air New Zealand flight NZ2 takes off from Auckland for New York at 7.40 pm, touches down in New York JFK at 6.55 pm local time before leaving New York JFK for Auckland at 9.55 pm and arriving in Auckland at 7.30 am on 20 September 2022 under flight NZ1.

Air New Zealand flies to New York on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrives in Auckland on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Mondays.

With the addition of New York JFK, Air New Zealand flies to six North American destinations in the U.S. and Canada as of 19 September 2022 including Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, San Franscisco and Vancouver. 

Jazeera Airways launches Kuwait-Bishkek-Xi'an flight on 19 September 2022

Jazeera Airways, the low-cost budget airline of Kuwait, has launched scheduled flight to Xi'an Xianyang from Kuwait via Bishkek on 19 September 2022 with its Airbus A320neo aircraft.

On 19 September 2022, Jazeera Airways flight J9 621 departs from Kuwait for Xi'an Xianyang at 6.20 am, stops over in Bishkek at 1.05 pm before leaving Bishkek for Xi'an at 1.50 pm and touching down in Xi'an Xianyang at 8.30 pm local time where it will taxi overnight.

On 20 September 2022, flight J9 622 leaves Xi'an Xianyang for Kuwait via Bishkek at 10.30 pm, transits in Bishkek at 2.05 am local time on 21 September 2022 before taking off from Bishkek for Kuwait at 2.50 am and arriving in Kuwait at 4.10 am on the same day.

Jazeera Airways flies to Bishkek and Xi'an on Mondays and leaves Xi'an for Bishkek and Kuwait on Tuesdays.

Zipair launches scheduled flight to San Jose on 12 December 2022

Zipair Tokyo, the long-haul budget airline subsidiary of Japan Airlines operating flights in the name of Zipair  on the livery, launches direct scheduled flight from Narita to San Jose, Silicon Valley's airport, on 12 December 2022 with its Dreamliner 787-8 jet.

On 12 December 2022, Zipair flight ZG30 departs from Narita for San Jose at 4 pm, touches down in San Jose at 8 am before leaving San Jose for Narita at 10 am and arriving in Narita at 2.30 pm on 13 December 2022 local time under flight ZG29.

Zipair flies to San Jose on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and the above flight timings are effective for travel from 12 December to 31 December 2022.

From 2 January 2023, flight ZG30 arrives in San Jose at 8.10 am and departs from San Jose for Narita at 10.10 am.

From 13 March 2023, ZG30 touches down in San Jose at 9.10 am and leaves San Jose for Narita at 11.10 am.

Pacific Airlines has launched scheduled flight to Hangzhou from Hanoi on 13 September 2022 with its Airbus A320 aircraft.

On 13 September, Pacific Airlines flight BL6908 leaves Hanoi for Hangzhou at 4 pm, touches down in Hangzhou at 7.50 pm before taking off from Hangzhou for  Hanoi at 9.30 pm and landing in Hanoi at 11.40 pm under flight BL6909.

Starlux Airlines resumes weekly scheduled flight to Danang, a central city of Vietnam, on 28 October 2022 with its Airbus A321neo aircraft.

On 28 and 29 October 2022, Starlux flight JX0701 departs from Taoyuan for Naha at 7.35 am, touches down in Danang at 9.25 am before leaving Danang for Taoyuan at 10.25 am and arriving in Taoyuan at 2.20 pm local time under flight JX0702.

The above flights are effective for travel on Fridays and Saturdays.

HK Express now flies four times a week to Changi from Hong Kong

HK Express now flies four times a week to Changi from Hong Kong, on Saturdays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Its first scheduled flight to Changi (UO780) is on 1 February 2022.

On 9 September 2022 (Friday), HK Express adds another flight UO780, departing from Hong Kong for Changi at 8.55 pm, arriving in Changi at 12.45 am on 10 September 2022 before leaving Changi Airport Terminal 1 for Hong Kong at 2 am and touching down in Hong Kong at 5.50 am under flight UO781.

The flight timings of UO780/781 are effective on Fridays/Saturdays and Wednesdays/Thursdays respectively.

On 10 September 2022, HK Express adds its second scheduled flight UO784, which takes off from Hong Kong for Changi at 1.20 pm, touches down in Changi at 5 pm before departing from Changi Terminal 1 for Hong Kong at 6.10 pm and arriving in Hong Kong at 10.15 pm under flight UO785.

The flight timings of UO784/UO785 are effective on Saturdays and Mondays.

HK Express' last flight to Changi Terminal 1 falls on 19 September 2022 and its first flight to Changi Terminal 4 (UO780) is operated on 21 September 2022.

From 24 September 2022 (Saturday), flight UO784 leaves Hong Kong for Changi at 2.20 pm, touches down in Changi Terminal 4 at 6 pm before departing from Changi for Hong Kong at 7.10 pm and landing in Hong Kong Terminal 1 at 11.15 pm.




Batik Air launches flight from Surabaya to Singapore on 23 September 2022

Batik Air is launching its third new route from Indonesia to Singapore! On 23 September 2022, it carries out its inaugural scheduled flight from Surabaya to Changi with its B737-800 aircraft.

On 23 September 2022, Batik Air flight ID7131 departs from Surabaya for Singapore Changi Airport at 7.50 am, touches down in Changi at 11.10 am before leaving Changi for Surabaya at 12 pm and arriving in Surabaya at 1.20 pm local time under flight ID7130.

Batik Air flies between Surabaya and Changi daily.
